Gisayne settled back on the bed with a sigh. Her trust in her father was beyond reproach, but the council could veto him, and she had no more reason than Alloran to have any faith in them. ‘I’ll hold my silence. But you promise me, Alloran al Kahliln, you promise me that you won’t under any circumstance open another hell-gate!’
‘No hell-gates. I promise.’ He took her hand in his and forced a smile. ‘What possible reason could I have to want to open one?’
Her brows pinched, and a smile didn’t even tug at the corners of her downturned lips. ‘I don’t know. I just have a very bad feeling.'

Aww yes! It was AWESOME. I wish I'd caught up with the episodes BEFORE I went, though. I'm sure I would have appreciated all the details even more :)
I like the Metropolis one out of the three you picked, but not sure if it would be more suited for graphic sites (ie. art, photography, etc) than writing. Authors tend to go for less clutter and lighter backgrounds, no? Just my personal opinion :)
Train out of London is a good idea, driving can be tricky and London is very big. York is pretty and if you get time you should have a stroll through some of the old back streets like stonegate.

This would just be the home page - subsequent pages would be simpler, but Metropolis home page (in particular) would allow me to organise content in an alternative to sequential which requires the reader to scroll all the way to the bottom to read stuff. Other pages would be more text heavy, and each image on the home page has provision for text underneath. I really want my homepage to read like a contents page - just enough detail to prompt the visitor through to those pages of interest.
Google wordpress themes for books/writers some time. Boooooring! So bland and just yuck. Even I would want to leave within moments of arriving LOL
